Sous Chef​ - Stoke Park Country Club & Resort

Department: Humphry's/Main Kitchen

As Sous Chef you will:

  • Assist the Executive Chef and Stoke Park to retain the 5 star standards and the 3 Rosettes in the Fine Dining restaurant  Also to work towards achieving a Michelin Star. 
  • Assist the Executive Chef in running the kitchens at Stoke Park
  • Oversee the kitchen to include freshness of ingredients, level of staffing, mis en place.
  • Ensure that the section is set for service.
  • Assist in training all Chefs and Kitchen Porters.
  • Assist in maintaining a professional level in each kitchen adhering to the Standard Operating Procedures and Policies.
  • Assist and prepare the day to day ordering for the kitchen.
  • Ensure that the kitchen areas are clean and meet safety standards.
  • Assist with HACCP and Health and Safety procedures
  • Ensure that all kitchen equipment is fully functional, stored correctly and staff are looking after the equipment.

Required Experience:

  • Experience in a three Rosette level or 5 Star property
  • Knowledge of HACCP and Health and Safety procedures
  • Thrives on working in a fast-paced environment
  • Handles pressure calmly and professionally
  • Previous experience of working in a similar rosette-accredited environment along with a passion for food
