The Calcot Collection is a small privately owned company that is home to a portfolio of four acclaimed hotels. Not considering ourselves as a group, each of our hotels celebrates its own style and personality and offers a different and unique experience that is signature to their offering.

‘The Painswick’ is the latest addition to the Calcot Collection. Poised on a hillside in the pretty Cotswolds village of Painswick and positioned as a restaurant with rooms, (otherwise known as ‘Feasts and the Rest’) The Painswick is all about fantastic food, innovative thinking and fuss free hospitality.

We are currently looking for a Commis Chef to join our team at The Painswick.

Your main responsibilities will be:

• Under the direction of the Head Chef, Sous Chef or Senior Chef de Partie, prepare and produce food as directed using modern methods, equipment, and fresh foo
• Ensure that the pastry section operates effectively on a daily basis
• Ensure that all food cooked and served is of a high quality
• Maintain sufficient level of mise en place for Lunch and Dinner service

Knowledge, experience and skills required:

• NVQ Level 1 as a minimum
• CIEH Level 2
• 1 year experience in a similar role
• Ability to demonstrate good food production
• Ability to work under the pressure of a busy Kitchen
