The Rose & Crown is part of the chef and brewer family part of the Greene King family Britain’s largest pub company, in the village of Wick, near Bristol.

We are looking for a strong determined experienced Kitchen manager.

The job role:

  • You will report to the House Manager
  • You will be responsible for all kitchen operations, kitchen team and stocks.

Key Tasks:

  • Encourage team work, lead and motivate the team.
  • Ensure all Health Safety and Hygiene legislation procedures are implemented, maintained and complied with.
  • In the near future completing kitchen staff rotas
  • Be responsible for recruiting and maintaining your team.
  • Ensure all company standards and dish/menu specifications are adhered to.
  • Ensure Company standards of uniform and grooming are adhered to by all staff.
  • Address performance issues in line with company procedure with the support of your GM.
  • Kitchen needs to be ready for internal NSF/BDM & External audits at all times.
  • Complete food stock-takes and line checks on a weekly basis.
  • Ensure that controls are maintained to maximise profits and efficiency and minimise wastage.
  • Liaise with other areas of the business and attend/run house team meetings.
  • Ensure customers are satisfied and that any complaints are dealt with in a speedy and professional manner.
  • Place orders to maintain sufficient stock to maintain menu availability  
  • Ensure that all the kitchen equipment is maintained, clean and run efficiently.
  • You will need your own transport or live locally as no live in is available.
  • You will need to be a strong leader to refocus the team and have high hygiene standards and experience of branded menus would also be a benefit.
