 About Us

We are looking to recruit a Head Chef with excellent leadership skills and a passion for guest service to join our team at The Old Hall, Frodsham, (WA6), due a major refurbishment in 2020. The Old Hall is a 16th Century hotel with 26 bedrooms, bar and 90 cover restaurant, appealing to local guests as well as business travellers. Featuring a fresh seasonal menu with ingredients sourced locally, as well as offering some of the best guest ales in Britain. We have a passion for people and excellent service is at the heart of everything we do.

The Old Hall is part of the 16 Hospitality group, an expanding, independent hospitality operator within the North West of England and North Wales, running premium iconic restaurants with rooms, which are unique and individual.

The Role Head Chef 

We are looking to recruit an experienced Head Chef to join our team at the Old Hall, who has experience of working with a fresh menu and delivering food sales of £10k+ each week. The successful Head Chef will be passionate about food quality and standards within the business. You will be obsessive in ensuring all meals that leave the kitchen, are of the highest standard and only the very best will do. As a Head Chef and reporting to the General Manager you are responsible for the management of the kitchen including hygiene; health & safety and food safety compliance; food stock control and ordering. You will enjoy a busy, hands on role where you have the opportunity to develop your leadership skills and where motivating your team to achieve their goals is a daily event.

About You

·Previous experience as a Head Chef in a fresh food business, used to producing £10k+ each week in food sales from your kitchen.

·Excellent cooking skills with the ability to remain calm under pressure

-Essential that you have fresh food experience and able to develop specials.

·A passion for food and delivering great food quality.

·Leadership qualities with the enthusiasm and charisma to motive your team

·Strict adherence to food hygiene and health & safety regulations

·Excellent communication skills

·Enthusiastic, strong work ethic and hunger to learn

·Minimum level 2 food hygiene.
