The Juice Smith is a family-run business based in Surrey. We are in the process of nationwide expansion and are looking for ambitious individuals to join our fast-growing company. There are many opportunities to thrive individually and collectively in the business.

We are currently recruiting for a pastry production chef to work on a rotational shift-basis, including weekends, nights and Bank Holidays. Hours will increase based on seasonal/promotional demand. You will work alongside a dedicated and passionate kitchen team, to produce breakfast pots, salads, and sweet treats to a continuous high quality standard.
Responsibilities:

  • Create and prepare any pastry items, sweet treats and other items as required by the business
  • Prepare, clean and organise ingredients for use in the kitchen
  • Ensure the kitchen area is clean and sanitised at all times
  • Maintain up to date knowledge about product ingredients and allergens
  • Maintain an efficient workspace and adhere to the highest hygiene and health and safety standards

Requirements

  • Communicate effectively with the kitchen team, management and FOH
  • Ability to work well under pressure, in a fast-paced environment
  • A positive, “can-do” attitude
  • An individual who enjoys working as part of a team and can also work independently
  • Level 2 Food and Safety
  • Proactive & flexible approach; working on a rotational shift-basis
  • Attention to detail and willingness to learn and perfect technique
  • Good time-management skills
  • Passion for a plant-based/sustainable lifestyle inline with company core values

40 hours per week

£10.00-10.50 per hour depending on experience
