Are you a self-motivated, driven and enthusiastic individual with excellent kitchen management skills?  Then we have a great opportunity to join our team at YHA St Paul’s as Kitchen Manager.

The YHA St Paul’s was once a school for the choirboys and after nearly 100 years it was re-purposed to become our fantastic hostel steeped in history.  In the wood-panelled classroom you will still see the old-school choirboy graffiti whilst our atmospheric spiral staircase and elaborate exterior have visitors flocking from miles.

This remarkable building boasts the ultimate location for exploring one of London's most fascinating tourist attractions - it's literally seconds from St Paul’s Cathedral and has an amazing team to offer our guests the level of service they would expect at this central London hostel.

As the bells of the Cathedral continue chime we here at YHA St Paul’s are looking for an experienced Kitchen Manager, who will take ownership of the catering budget and be responsible for driving efficiency and increase profit margins. You’ll develop train and upskill team members and work alongside the Hostel Manager to revolutionise the service standards that we provide. 

Our Kitchen Manager duties include: 


• Responsibility for Food Hygiene standards and regulations 

• Control of purchasing, invoicing, stock and menu costs

• The preparation of food in accordance with YHA’s standard specification

• Managing the effective delivery of the food and beverage service to consistently deliver a positive experience to all customers 

• Reviewing and responding to customer feedback to improve our customers experience 



In order to be a great Kitchen Manager we are looking for people who can:


• Lead, develop and mentor others
• Demonstrate experience of food and beverage or catering management
• Effectively plan and deliver menus that increase profits for the business
• Show a good understanding of YHA, the hospitality industry and current tourist industry standards
• Put the customer at the heart of everything we do
