Re-purposed after nearly 100 years as a school for choirboys, the remarkable YHA St Paul's building boasts the ultimate location for exploring one of London's most fascinating tourist attractions - it's literally seconds from St Paul’s cathedral.
Steeped in history, this hostel includes old-school choirboy graffiti (in a wood-panelled classroom no less), atmospheric spiral staircases and an elaborate exterior. And of course, there's nothing quite like waking up to those cathedral bells. The hostel’s central location is also great for exploring London on foot, with many of London's famous attractions close by.
Here at St Paul's YHA, we are looking for a talented individual to join our team as Catering Supervisor for our busy kitchen. This key position will work closely with the Hostel Management Team to ensure all areas of the hostel maintain the high standards our guests expect from a stay at YHA.

Experience
In order to be a great Catering Supervisor we are looking for people who can:
- Lead, develop and mentor others
- Demonstrate experience of supervising a small team and/or coordinating activities within a similar environment
- Evidence good numeracy, literacy and communication skills
- Show a good understanding of YHA, the hospitality industry and current tourist industry standards
- Put the customer at the heart of everything we do
- An understanding of staffing and producing rota's for your team
- Be able to show examples of your knowledge of stock control and ordering systems
- Be responsible for guest satisfaction scores throughout our F & B department
- Have past experience of handling staff appraisals and continuus monitoring of staff performance
- Prepare and Cook meals for our groups visitors
